How many total character classes do you have?
I have a total of 8 characters. One for every class in the game. How many active characters do you play (active is within 2 months)? All 8. I just recently finished Factions with my 1 week old Necro and did the same with my 1 week old Rit. The other 6 with the exception of the Mesmer, have finished Factions and Prophecies. All 6/8 have 1 or 2 15K armor sets. Still waiting for something good for the Male Ele. The mesmer is just...there. What's the longest you've played one class for before switching to another? (real time - not play time) It really depends what I am trying to do at the time. That is the thing I love most about GW, you can instantly switch of to any character class and just WARP to a certain destination once unlocked. Unlike other games where you have to actually travel and spend hours trying to meet your buddies just to do 1 side quest. Instant action FTW. What is your most played class? The WaMo of course. He single handedly pump up my gold storage from 300K up to 1.6mil. Now, the other classes are pushing it to around 1.8Mil+ What is your favorite class? The Warrior class. The Necro class is def. a close second. But my love for the warrior class is too big. What is your least played class? The Mesmer class. She is currently my storage for extra mats and dyes and armors...but I do play her and switch to her just for that reason alone, haha. I know they are useful, blah, blah, blah..but it does not fit my play style, and well, she looks better as a mule more than anything. |

I have 12 characters covering 7 professions. Everything except necro. I've tried playing a necro several times and they just bore the heck out of me. How many active characters do you play (active is within 2 months)? 9 What's the longest you've played one class for before switching to another? (real time - not play time) Around 7-8 hours. I tend to accomplish a goal with one character, then switch to another. It's rare for me to play one character for an entire gaming session. What is your most played class? Ranger What is your favorite class? Ranger and mesmer What is your least played class? Necro |

I have 6 of 6 char slots filled. I ditched the Rt and Sin, as I did not like the style of play for them. In fact, I just started a W/R in Pre-Searing, which is a change. I have not been in pre-searing since last December. It will be nice to play the Catacombs again.

Account 1: W/x, Mo/x, N/x, E/Me, and two characters that will probably be deleted (new R and Me without secondaries) Account 2: W/x, R/x, Mo/N, Mo/Me, W/R, Rt/R How many active characters do you play (active is within 2 months)? Ten "keeper" characters, plus two slots used for storage, temporary chars, PvP, etc. I've used them all at some point within the last 2 months. What's the longest you've played one class for before switching to another? (real time - not play time) Maybe a week, at most. I usually switch characters 2 or more times per gaming session. You didn't ask, but this is PvE only. I imagine if I PvP'd it would be different.
How many total character classes do you have: Six, all my slots are full How many active characters do you play (active is within 2 months): Four. A warrior and elementalist are my farmers, a Ranger and Necro are my "play" characters. Their secondary changes. I do not like my monk, but keep her around in case smiting ever gets decent. I also have a ritualist that I have not moved from Shing Jea, though more because I have enough to do with the others than anything else. I've had a mesmer from time to time (ritualist is currently taking her slot). What's the longest you've played one class for before switching to another: I do not know. Probably the smiting monk. Several months then the AI change happened. Now I switch between two or three a gaming session. What is your most played class: Wammo - simply because of farming. Though since I started playing an Ele for farming it will surpass the warrior/anything in a little while. In just gameplay either a fire ele or necro (switches between minion master and curses), I would guess the necro. What is your favorite class: either a nuke Ele or a Minion Master. Both are still my favorite, but liked them much more before the AI change and MM nerf. Not really a complaint exactly - again still my favorite (and I understand and somewhat support the changes). I like watching lots of number pop up from AoE or having the army at my disposal - both toons are as small as the game allows and I find that amusing. What is your least played class: Assassin or a healer. I have yet to find an Assassin/anything I enjoy and I detest being a healer. I'm interested to see the way other people play GW and whether they stick to one profession or switch a lot: I switch a lot. Except for a few months there were the smiting/healing monk scratched every itch I had (henchies only) I use all of them. Factions hasn't been that great but I am looking forward to a Dervish in Nightfalls. Plus if I pre-order then I get that extra slot for a permanent mesmer. |

1. I have 7 of 8 professions (no Ritualist as of yet, with doubles on warrior, necro and ranger).
2. All of them have been active within the last 2 months. 3. I believe I played for two or three weeks straight on my necro as she was the first and (at that time) only character I had. 4. I'd have to say warrior, although lately its been monk. 5. Monk. 6. Assassin. |

Oh good, a survey thread. Without commenting on anyone specifically, I've read a few interesting posts and I hope mine may be of similar interest.
How many total character classes do you have? Eight - one of each primary How many active characters do you play (active is within 2 months)? Active within 2 weeks, eight - plus two that took a desk job in a warehouse but they hardly count. Around 6 of the main characters have been used for something, this week and that situation is usually the norm - though which "6" isn't always the same. I'm sure my guild/alliance doesn't know who is behind the different names, half of the time. What's the longest you've played one class for before switching to another? (real time - not play time) This question really needs more detail - first character was a ranger. For around a month it was the only one. While developing a new character it will get heavy use while it's going through the game(s) at least until it's "finished" with elites - specifically when it was the two new factions classes but also two "replacements" of the core ones. Still, I'd doubt I played any character for more than 48 hours straight without using another. What is your most played class? What else other than Monk. Begrudgingly, sometimes but I'm usually happy to help when guild/alliance/friends are looking for assistance. Prior to factions elementalist would have featured highly with fissure of woe trips, after monk. Other than that, mesmer, assassin and ranger are seeing a lot of daylight at the moment. Next week, one of those last three may be elementalist, or necromancer. What is your favourite class? It's probably not fashionable to say assassin, so I'll say mesmer instead, but it's only half true. Monk is enjoyable too, much of the time. There are aspects I like about all the classes in guild wars to date and I don't like to choose. What is your least played class? Without logging in on each character and checking their XP or /age that is probably ritualist. This is probably down to circumstances; usually when a Rt is in demand we have someone else who likes Rt much more and is appointed the role nearly by default. (If i'm jealous at that, it's only because I feel I was denied easy work.). If people accepted that Rt can do more than shelter+union perhaps it would get walked more. In recent months, while both of these classes I played much more in the prophecies-era, I don't get out the warrior or necromancer often anymore; all builds related to them are firmly pigeonholed and if you're in a group (and if you're not, there are, honestly, better single player rpg's I can recommend), you're pretty much expected and required to play in a way I find quite stale. |
